Forager Review

9.1 Total Score
Very Good

Forager is a 2D open world game inspired by exploration, farming and crafting games such as Stardew Valley, Terraria & Zelda. It is a game that pulls from many different points of inspiration to offer a simple and sleek gameplay experience that wraps all of recent trends into a nice package. After a full year of development, the game on Steam features a TON of new content, systems, and exclusive features! The highly popular and quirky "idle game that you want to actively keep playing". Initially it's a bit of a grind in just getting started. After a little while, there are so many things to do that it no longer feels that way, even though that may still be what you are doing. It's in the nature of a resource-gathering, crafting, and survival type game. Think of this game as Plantera plus Minecraft. Very indie, but it will keep you busy for hours. If you like games that are very casual and require a lot of grind and mindlessness, you will be obsessed with Forager.
