DUSK Review

8.4 Total Score
Very Good

DUSK is everything retro shooter fans have been wanting to make a comeback for years, it's an old-school throwback in the purest sense of the term, from its load-out, to the gameplay, to its key-hunting level design, DUSK has it all, and yet despite all this, manages to feel fresh. You play as "Dusk Dude", a treasure hunter captured by demonic cultists. You must escape and kill them all. Simple. As you progress you discover some truths about what's really been going on. New Blood have taken an approach that many others have tried and failed in the past, and have blown all expectations out of the water with only the first two episodes and an early implementation of multiplayer. The multiplayer is hilariously fun. Prepare your ears for gunfire and the game's signature "HUP!" of bunny hopping. Endless hours of entertainment await. A faithful recreation of everything that made the old games great, while building on the foundation with modern-day improvements.
